    Project & Scope

Project scope defines the boundaries of work, outlining what is and is not included in the agreed engagement. Without a clearly defined scope, projects are susceptible to “scope creep”, the gradual addition of unapproved requirements that can impact both budget and timeline. Any request believed to fall outside the defined scope will be reviewed against the original project outline. If confirmed, the client will be notified and must provide approval before any additional work is performed or billed. Clients are responsible for supplying all necessary written and visual assets, feedback, and approvals as outlined in the work agreement.

    Payment

ScottV.tech will issue itemized invoices and provide approved payment methods for all required deposits, milestone payments, and final balances as specified in the original work agreement. Any invoice that remains outstanding beyond its due date will be subject to a late fee of 5% of the outstanding balance. Continued non-payment may result in the suspension of work until the account is brought current.

    Intellectual Property

All creative work, deliverables, and associated intellectual property produced by ScottV.tech remain the exclusive property of ScottV.tech until full payment of the corresponding milestone or final invoice has been received. Upon receipt of payment, ownership, assets and full usage rights are transferred to the client. ScottV.tech does not require credit or attribution for delivered work unless explicitly agreed upon in writing by both parties prior to project completion.

    Confidentiality

Any sensitive or proprietary information disclosed to ScottV.tech in the course of a project will be treated with confidentiality and shared only with individuals directly involved in the delivery of the agreed work. ScottV.tech does not issue Non-Disclosure Agreements; however, should a client require additional confidentiality protections, ScottV.tech is prepared to review and execute a client-provided NDA prior to the commencement of work.

    Liability

ScottV.tech makes no express or implied guarantees regarding the outcomes or performance of any delivered work. This includes, but is not limited to, search engine rankings, sales performance, conversion rates, or any other metrics subject to external factors and circumstances outside of ScottV.tech’s reasonable control. Clients acknowledge that results may vary and that ScottV.tech shall not be held liable for outcomes influenced by market conditions, third-party platforms, or client-side decisions made after project delivery.

    Communication & Availability

ScottV.tech is reachable through email, video conferencing, chat, and telephone communications. All client inquiries are best directed during regular business hours to ensure timely handling. Under normal circumstances, clients can expect a response within one business day. Response times may be extended during scheduled leave, holidays, or other planned periods of unavailability, of which clients will be notified in advance where possible.

    Refunds & Disputes

All completed work is non-refundable. In the event of a dispute or concern, clients are encouraged to contact scott@scottv.tech with a detailed description of the issue. I am dedicated to addressing all concerns promptly and working toward a fair resolution.

    Project Termination

Either party reserves the right to terminate a project or agreement at any time, provided written notice is given to the other party. In the event of termination, ScottV.tech reserves the right to invoice the client for all work performed and expenses incurred up to the date of termination. Outstanding balances resulting from early termination are subject to the same payment terms as outlined in the original work agreement, including any applicable late fees.

    Rights to present

Project assets will be released to the client upon full settlement of the final invoice. ScottV.tech reserves the right to showcase completed work in its portfolio and promotional materials unless otherwise agreed upon in writing by both parties.

This agreement and any disputes arising from it shall be governed by and construed in accordance with the laws of the State of Oregon.
